Register now for Season 11

The world’s richest fishing competition, Million Dollar Fish, is back for Season 11. Free registration is now open, and keen anglers can start fishing for prize-tagged barra from Wednesday, 1 October 2025. You must be registered for Season 11 to be eligible to win.

This season marks 11 years of Million Dollar Fish, which has seen more than 1,000 red-tagged barramundi released and over $2 million in prize money awarded since its launch in 2015.

The return of the competition follows a record-breaking Season 10 which attracted an unprecedented 62,313 registrations—the highest in the competition’s history—with 33.7% of participants based outside the NT. The largest interstate growth came from Western Australia and Victoria, highlighting the competition’s expanding national reach.
Season 10 also saw 17 lucky fishos win a total of $210,000, including a history-making first week where nine $10,000 barramundi were reeled in. On top of this, the season featured the biggest monthly prize pool to date, valued at $79,000.

The Top End is the only place in Australia where anglers have the chance to hook a red-tagged million-dollar barra or one of many worth $10,000. Prize-tagged fish are released across the five main fishing regions in the Top End: Darwin, Kakadu, Katherine, the Tiwi Islands and Arnhem Land.

"Don't miss your chance to be our next winner. Register now for Million Dollar Fish Season 11, drop a line, and get ready for a fishing experience that could make you a millionaire," said SportsBet Head of Operations NT Thijs Bors.

Million Dollar Fish Season 11 is delivered by the Northern Territory Major Events Company on behalf of the Northern Territory Government and is supported by SportsBet. The competition runs from 1 October 2025 to 31 March 2026. It’s free to register and anglers must be registered for Season 11 to claim any prize money.
